it's been a while since I'v updated my bog...
It's not that i didn't do anything over here..but it's jz that i'm too busy doing all the assignment that the school has been throwing at us...I'm just briefly tell u about ALL my subject...if ur interested..if not, then jz close this page, there is nothing else for u here..lolx..
So first I have Strategic Planning.
This course is to teach us to run an organisation...In general, we already know(or suppose to) how to run a hotel..but this course is more in depth..it explains the role of a owner, Board of Directors,CEO,CFO and many more..then we will be given a case study a week before, and I have to read it and analyse it...and then on the actual class itself, he will give questions and we have to brainstorm..Well, this course is not that bad in terms of stress level..at least i can feel at ease and still can feel sleepy without fear of being watch or being caught.
Then, we have Statistic and Financial...Well, I find all these calculation class the best, as the time goes by faster and I can ACTUALLY understand what is it all about..as I learn it before..but i can't get it exempted due to certain reasons....Zzzzz...n I tell u one thing hor...the orang putih is real slow on calculation..lolx, they might be fast in management but when it comes to calculation..the Chinese are the one who teach them...
Next up is European Literature.
it has absolutely NOTHING to do with this course, but according to my lecturer..he says that it will help us become a better person ==''...u may think this course is easy, But it's not!!!
After reading the story we have to analyst it...the lecture exact words were 'dissecting the plot'..lolx...the short story is not as simple as we all think..every sentence or every paragraph has a meaning of it's own..it's not simple but has a deep meaning to it...
Then it's Business Law.
Hmm..This subject is as usual..very boring..but last time bcoz of my lecture, she manage to make it fun and i use to LOVE law..but i can tell u, the lecture I get this time really don't know how to teach, he might have a higher qualification the my previous law lecture..but he DEFINITELY don't know how to teach...every class, we have to do homework..he will give us question and we have to hand it in the next class....Zzzzz
Ok! so now the subject is beginning to feel more boring and stressful.
Next up, it's International Trade...
To me, this is THE MOST stressful class i have ever been...
every week, we have to find an article about the chapter u is teaching, then we have to summarize it...not is not all, we even have to find related information on it, like the history and the geography of the place ur talking about and who is the president, what is the famous food that can be found in that country etc...u see! i'm jz seeing how awful am i going to die only..lolx...
Beside that, I have Philosophy of Enterprise.
This is a debate class. The lecture don't teach in this class.. we all sit in a U shape class room and we start talking about the chapter of the week, whether u agree or disagree...Everyone have to talk or not there is no marks for u...Other then that, the assessment is also like that, the only difference is that u don't know that question before hand will only receive the question 15 mins before the exam...so yeah! i don't know how am I going to manage it...
Lat but not least, Intro to Entrepreneurship.
I remember the first time I attend this class...
everyone of us was tired coz this was the last class for the day and our schedule was pack, started from 8 till 6 in the evening..Basically my brain has stop functioning..lolx..so anyway, when everyone was has a seat,
she first request was to ask us to close our eyes and listen to our breathing..lolx..
I dun denied that it is a GOOD idea, but I was damn sleepy and was trying my best to open my eyes, and there she is urging all us to close it..lolx...i was telling myself this 'shit! how am i suppose to open it again'..lolx....luckily I didn't fall asleep while listening and of course manage to open it again...
So! I read some of my friends from Taylor's...as usual all the complaint... and then I come across about the warning letter for absenteeism...Over here at HIM, they gave us FULL freedom, according to the philosophy of the school, they believe that when we are old enough to take care of ourselves and don't wanna put strict rules and treat us as children...We are young adults...
But u know what happens to u when u miss one class??
Well, over here, we don't count how many classes u miss...we count my the hour...
yes, i repeat it, we count by the HOUR.....let's say the class is 3 hours(which it is! all classes averagely last 3 hours long, I'm not kidding!!) and ur absent for that 3 hour class, and the lecture policy(each lecture has different grading) is to minus 5 points per hour, that mean u already lost 15 marks for that subject....
So, do u think Taylor's is better or u would rather get this kinda rules?lolx..
But i can't argue...coz like they say, u have full responsibility on ur own action thus, no parent is involve...so u ma kena lo..lolx...
I have a lot more thing to write but I have to go now...assignment are waiting and waving at me adi...haix....
